Dear Blink3times,

I forgot to include my email address in my question for you as what file name I should use
when I was asked what file name to use after I marked "app can handle >2gb..." instead of
the original VegasMovieStudioPE90 which I was not able to overwrite it. Please email me at
chu_talmage@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!!!

Dear all, I've got the same problem with Vegas 9.0 crashes. I was Pinnacle Studio user before and abandoned it because of instable work. Downloaded Vegas 9.0 and worked with DV clips without nightmare of program crash until bought new Sony HD hard drive camera...
I think that SONY should upgrade our software and remove the bug that limits memory usage to 2gigs.
I am not going to spent 500USD for Vegas Pro after Vegas 9.0 seems to be sold as defective and unstable application.
Mayby it's time to come back to Pinnacle that actually sells Studio 12 Ultimate with HD DVD authoring etc.
Does anybody from SONY read the forum? Are they happy of unhappy clients?

Wow.... I was having nothing but crashes while rendering and this fix using CFF Explorer did the trick. I was even able to use the extra 3 cores on my cpu again. I *never* could use them for rendering as it'd crash everytime. Now it works great!

If you're having problems running CFF Explorer and you're using Vista don't forget to run CFF as an administrator or else it might have trouble saving the changes you're making to the files listed above.

Thanks everyone!
