In between re-installing Windows on my laptop, I was also doing a bit of editing on my main desktop PC (and my wife said only women can multi-task. HUH) When the laptop prompted for the Windows key I started entering it then realised I was using the wrong keyboard. I then noticed that the footage on my Vegas timeline was playing backwards so I retraced my steps and discoverd that entering a lower case 'j' had caused this.
