Play Timeline in Reverse

Not being one for reading manuals, I discovered this by accident. I'm sure most Vegas users will be aware of the shortcut but for those who aren't...

In between re-installing Windows on my laptop, I was also doing a bit of editing on my main desktop PC (and my wife said only women can multi-task. HUH) When the laptop prompted for the Windows key I started entering it then realised I was using the wrong keyboard. I then noticed that the footage on my Vegas timeline was playing backwards so I retraced my steps and discoverd that entering a lower case 'j' had caused this.

Wow!

where / when did you enter the i to get it to play backwards?

Sorry, more finger trouble. It's 'j' not 'i' Enter when the cursor is anywhere on the timeline.

j/k/l keys: reverse/stop/forward

if you hold down "k" you can simulate a wheel-thinggy (jog???) that does addive speed changes instead of instant. IE k+l+l+l = .75 (based on some settings) speed. Still holdin k, +j = .5 speed vs if you just hit j which = -.25 speed.

Well it only took me 5 years and 2 days to learn that. :~)
