playback freezing and pixelating

I am new to Sony Vegas and DVD Architech and having some problems w the learning curve, but beginning to get on board.

The problem I am having is after rendering and burning a dvd (approx 45 minutes) on dvd playback is freezes and pixelates on playback.... I have cleaned the dvd lense and also played on another dvd player.

I used a generic dvd brand dvd+r... I winder if that may be a problem..

This can be caused by many factors. Media is definitely a factor a some media is simply not very good. Another factor is the bitrate used and whether you used AC3 audio or PCM audio. The dvd player itself is another factor.

bitrate is 16.

Do not know where to find the AC3 Audio OR PCM Audio settings...

dvd player is dvd-r/+r and also tested on another with similar result

Works fine for the 1st 5-7 minutes, then pixilates & posp & freezes.

Please help

The bitrate is above the allowed amount for a DVD. I keep the video bitrate at 8,000,000 or less. Using AC3 or PCM audio, that allows plenty of headroom.
