Hi All,
Trying to edit some holiday footage, its in MPEG-2 format. The problem I am having is that I am trying to sync it to some music (in mp3 format) like a music video. I therefore require precise control over where the audio and video sync.
However, when playing back through the preview window the playback rate of the video drops from 25 frames to like 19 frames, this throws out the sync. However if I render it and then view it externally it syncs fine.
Is there anyway of getting the preview to work correctly?
UPDATE: Just tried it with a DV AVI file, no problems there, the playback rate works fine and syncing is great. So.. the only problem is that DV AVI files take up around 12 GB of hard disk space for each hour. is there a better format to edit with? I am looking to be editing with around 8 hours worth of video (2.5 years travelling, u get a fair bit of video).
