Playing with PluginPac PixelStretch

I hadn't seen this used yet so I played with it to make a simple little something that might look like a laser revealing text on screen (sort of). I uploaded this to SPOT's veg sharing site but if you're lazy you can also click here: the .veg file

I'm working on something for a project so I'm hoping somebody will do something to make this effect even better so I can use it. :) You'll need the PluginPac PixelStretch to load the veg file.

I downloaded this .veg file and it says it's a Vegas Video 2.0 file. When I open it in VV 3.0c I get an error telling me I'm missing some Direct X file. I have Direct X 8.1 on my system. After acknowledging that error, I have "Sample text" in track 2 and, on track 1, a orange "line" pivoting from the upper right corner that rotates counter-clockwise when I play the timeline.

PixelStretch is not an added effect. (Yes, I have Satish's plug-in pac installed.) Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Dan,

I'm not sure where that version information is coming from. It was saved from 3.0c. Only the latest version of the PluginPac has the PixelStretch so perhaps that is what's missing. If the only thing you see on track 2 is the text, undistorted in any way, then that too would point to not having the latest PluginPac. At least that's all I can think of.

Whoops! Egg on my face. I didn't have the absolute latest version of the PluginPAC on this computer like I do at home!

I like the effect!

Nice! How about using Track Motion with keyframing to make the laser look like its at the end of the text?

Have a good day!!!
