I will ask my question by using a scenario (pls be patient with me).
Let's say I create a Project called Movie1. Now I capture video from my HD camera and I see Clip 1, Clip 2 and Clip 3 in Project Media. So I add these clips to my timeline, edit, save and render as Render.MP4. All is good.
Now I open my Movie1 project and I delete everything from the timeline and I capture Clip 5 and Clip 6 and I add them to the timeline and edit. Now I save my project as Movie2.
Almost there-
So while I am in my Movie2 project I see ALL of my clips- Clips 1-6...
My questions are:
A) How many copies of the clips are on my machine? Is there one of each with pointers to them in more than on project? Or are there multiple copies of the clips being stored in different projects?
B) What happens if I open my Movie2 project and delete Clips 1-3? Will this remove them from my machine? Or would it only remove a pointer? Or would it only remove the duplicate copy of them?
I recognize that there is redundancy in my questions but I need to beyond a shadow of a doubt understand how this works...
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
