Hello to all. I have used sonic foundry products, adobe and an avid demo.
My results. Ok check it out: Sound.....vegas video kicks butt over avid, i mean, sonic foundry, awesome job, please Sony keep the work flow of the Sonic Foundry team. The products have a certain style and workflow.
Avid is considered the so called "Industry Standard", well Gentleman and Ladies, that was back in the old days, the so called OLD SCHOOL when only Avid was around. Looks like VV has proven them wrong
The prestine colors of the SF codec (now sony i guess) can output incredible images. VV can even output HD . Of course we all know its how the source material is shot, scripted (or not), style, genre, lighting, color matching . Then you can match even some of the big boys, Vegas video can do a great job. But it largely depends on the user, hardware, etc.
The Avid xpress dv is nice but thats the point its DV, and i have found VV to handle DV very nicely, and the sound editing, VV hands down.
