I have downloaded Vegas Movie Studio (17) (NOT THE PRO VERSION) as an upgrade to (15). Ever since I've had (17) I have had to redo a project seven times and have got about midway and everything goes wrong. The video media suddenly goes offline and a message comes up: 'The Files cannot be found in the Specified Location' when trying to reopen and continue a project.
When the above pop up message appeared I had done several searches in all the drives and also gone through the directories the clips are in to replace them. Performing either of the top two options of the pop up box has not worked. I haven't deleted the files by mistake as this happens every time.
The files are on my Google Pixel 3 phone and I leave it plugged in via USB whilst placing them into the project.
FACTORS TO CONSIDER:
I have updated the latest QuickTime Player
I have updated the latest Windows Update for Windows 10
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Movie Studio (17)
I have repaired driver and audio problems that occurred during the project
When the computer goes into rest mode and I start it back up this seems to be a or the trigger for all the media to go offline
This is so frustrating and I'm frightened to start a new project yet again for this to happen. I haven't been able to make one video yet with this new Movie Studio.
Please help, from Christopher
