Please Help - Missing Keyframe controller

Maverick wrote on 10/22/2007, 12:45 PM
Not sure what happened but suddenly the Keyframe Controller for Event FX has gne AWOL.

I have checked many events and even added new FX but still no KeyFrames. Closing the V8Pro and re-opening the file (I never saved it after changes) hasn't solved it.

Can anyone offer advice to where it has gone and how to get it back, please?

Cheers

Hi,
Try to hover over the bottom edge of the event FX and you should see two small horizontal lines - drag up and that should reveal the keyframe area. Once you close that effect, any others you open in the same session should have the k/f area, but once you shut down the project and reload it, the problem remains.

I reported this bug in v7, they couldn't replicate it and it is still there on v8.0a on one of my systems.

Hope I understood your problem.

Occasionally, the controller is simply hidden at the bottom of the window. Hover near the bottom window boundary and look for the curser to change to two parallel lines with an up arrow on one and a down arrow on the other. Then, click and drag the controller window up into view.

Thanks Tom & cbrillow.

I had tried dragging the bottom of the window up and down but never just avove it.

Still don't know how it disapppeared in the first place as I never dragged it myself.

You should see a very fine line at the bottom of the window.
Place your cursor just outside of the bottom of the window.
Slowly move it upwards until it changes from from the cursor to a two-headed arrow to a figure that I can only describe as a 2-headed arrow divided by an = sign.
Drag this upwards and your keyframe controller should appear.

I also have no idea what set this off on this system. V6 never had the problem, it appeared at some point in V7 on one of my systems and is still there with V8 on that one.

Sony support could not duplicate it even with a detailed script I gave them. Even resetting all to factory defaults did not solve the issue. I am a total loss. I don't know what the setting is that controls this behaviour or where it's stored.

Makes me feel a little better to know others are seeing this - though that's not a permanent solution for you.

It may not be a solultion but it helped:)

I often lay here dormant for months, wake up for a project and need help and I have never yet been failed.

Cheers again.
