Hello everybody!
I'm new to Vegas 4.0...I've read the manual and some posts here on the forum, but I still can't understand how to do a couple of simple things.
I'll start with an example to explain my problems. Let's say I have two video tracks and one audio track. The audio track has one big wave that covers all the...let's say 5 minutes long video. In video track #1 there are some clips...A,B. In video track #2 there are other clips...C,D. Ok, let's say I want to trim clip B, make it shorter. I have "Enable automatic ripple editing" option on. So, when I perform the trim, all the video on the right of the clip is moved to the left, to fill the gap between trimmed clip B and clip C. But, problem is (***I have "lock envelopes to events" option on*** and the same thing happens with this option turned off) and there are many nodes that change the volume through the lenght of my wave, and when the C,D clips are moved to the left, also the nodes are moved to the same direction, with the result of changed values....
What am I missing?.........Also, is there a way to LOCK an entire TRACK (not sigle or a group of clips)? I tried to lock the wave clip on the track, but it seems like the envelope cannot be locked.....
Please some pro help me! Thanks....
Cris
