I edited a 5 min HDV movie. I rendered one version at SD and another at 720p. Both look very good. However, when I try to render a 1080i version, I get a error, always at the same spot, about 39%. I cannot see anything that would be strange or different at that point in the timeline. What may be happening to cause that error? Thank you very much, Roger

Good day Roger. I am just now jumping into HD and have had some odd problem. It seems to be hard to get answers to HD questions on this forum right now, seems to me.
The error occurring at the same place makes me wonder. Do you have another 5 min clip you can experiment with? If the error was happening at different times I think it would be harder to find out why. Consistent problems are better, if a problem can be better.
MIght try sliding the clip down the timeline a little, or cut a second or two out before the error and see if the error still hits at the same point on the render.

Thanks daryl. Actually I have just removed that clip and it still errors out at the same place. Strange indeed! roger

Frustratingly, I had/have the same issue in V7. Everything scrubs nicely and even RAM previews swell. But go to render a 1080i in any flavour and it errors out.
I was sad.
