If anyone can shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it! When I try to burn a DVD with a DVD-R disc on my DVD Architect 2, I get the following message:

'SFMMCX'-(17)
'atapi'-(1)
-'MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-820S 1.00'-(0)
Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 389
An illegal request was received.
The data in the track is not compatible with the current command.

I am able to use another program on my computer to burn DVD-R, but I really want to use Architect for all my burning. It works fine with DVD+R. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you!

DVDA 2.0 is well known for its inability to burn with certain burners or burner/media combinations. Supposedly this situation has improved with DVDA3.

As far as 2.0 goes, make sure you have the latest build. Beyond that, use some other program for burning as Sony seems disinclined to fix these problems in DVDA 2 and probably only more so now with the release of 3.
