Plextor & VV3 - help please and a warning...

1st posting - hope you can help!
I have tested my new Plextor EIDE 251040 drive every which way but loose and the damn thing still wont work with VV3. It works fine with Nero - but Nero doesn't have the CD-Audio capabiltities of VV3. VV3 seems to be waiting for the Plextor to tell it that it is ready for the lead-out - and just hangs. VV3 works fine with my old HP-CDRW. Not sure if this needs a s/w update from Sonic or a f/w update from Plextor...
Who knows - maybe both.

Plextor chose to write some drivers that are not specifically compliant to the Microsoft standard, per posts on other sites. This is why the Nero CD burn app won't work with some CD burners out there. Mitsumi did the same thing with Nero, and it too, has problems in Vegas, Forge, and other apps. I'd say it was Plextor's issue. The Plextor IDE 12/10/32 seems to be working great, as are their older burners. Just checked their website, there are apparently other issues without an update on this unit.
