Just placed the following on the timeline:

1] Horizontal Blinds

2] Split Screen

3] Horizon

Do you get something odd on the right Frame edge? This is NOT reproed in V7.

8c here on a PAL 720x576 project.

For "Horizontal Blinds" I have a separate, out of sync bar on the Right hand edge some 1/10th of the screen wide. I have the same for "Horizon" and "Split Screen" too.

I do NOT get this in V7.

Yes, there is a scaling problem with some of the Generated Media in V8. It helps correcting the width to 1.25.

No, I think this appears in V8 only. And several users reported it.

have you a workaround for HD as well? changing width does nothing....
