Plug-In's Gone

I downloaded a plug-in. It installed in a subfolder under Sony called "Filters". I cannot "see it" in Vegas 8.0. I had this filter installed before, but after installing Sony Sound Forge 10 it seemed to disappear, so I reinstalled it but can find it to use it. It does not show up in the Plug In Manager. Any ideas?

Well, I have no idea why the original install of this plug-in disappeared, but a reboot of the machine put it back in the list. Duh!

I find that Vegas acts a bit like a dog emerging wet from a pond - it needs to shake itself down - and that's what a reboot can do for Vegas. The other image is that of me daydreaming, and the phone rings, bringing me back to the here and now! Or Marylin walking across that heat/steam vent . .. ! Kinda wakes up everybody that does . . .

Yesterday I had Neat Video come up with an error message. So I decided to "test" and opened a NEW "Untitled" instance of Vegas and did the same procedure with NV, and it worked. Went back to my project and got the repeat error message. So, having decided that Neat and Vegas were working, I closed down Vegas and reopened the same Project. Used NV again - this time no error message. Carried on working . . . .
