Plugin or Script for smooth slo mo?

I'm looking for a script or plug-in that would create smooth slow motion from a normal HD M2T clip. I remember reading about a technique for separating the fields and interpolating tweens to create good looking slow motion. Does such a script exist in the public domain? or is there a reasonably priced commercial product?

Thanks.

I am not sure a script would do it. The problems I have seen that make slow-mo choppy have been the properties of the recorded video being incongruent with the properties of the video project. My Sanyo shoots full HD MP4 files that at Lower Field First. If I import them into a project that is set to UFF with other video files that are Upper Field First (like MTS or M2T format files), any attempt to slow down the MP4 files is a disaster. However if I change the file properties of the MP4 in the project media folder to UFF for the previous LFF MP4, then the slow-mo is very smooth. It is a funny work around but it work for me consistently.

My 2 cents for what it is worth. BTW, I bagged by Sanyo and am just shooting with my Sony cameras now because the changing of the field order leaves a bit of loss in quality which I could see with HD footage.

If you want to use AVISynth (a free program), you can use the script that I posted in this (even by my standards) long-winded post:
