Plugins missing in Windows 7 64bit

I'm missing many of my plugins since I just installed Windows 7 64bit (Vegas 9C): NewBlue, Magic Bullet Looks, Pixelan, Mercalli. Is this a result of the 32bit vs 64bit issue? I didn't think that would be a problem with some of those plugins, because I just downloaded the newest versions, and at least NewBlue is supposed to work with 64bit. I have some of my plugins showing up (the VASST Reelpaks, Neat Video), so it's not like Windows 7 is putting all of them in a new location.

Or is it not a 64bit issue and I just need to "tell" Vegas to look in a different folder in Windows 7?

The 32bit plug-ins will work with 32bit Vegas, but not 64bit Vegas.

The 64bit OS doesn't matter.

NewBlue supports 64-bit but you have to select Vegas 64-bit when you install. NeatVideo also works in 64-bit. iZotope does on the audio side. That's about it from the plug-ins I own.

proDAD, Magic Bullet Looks, Pixelan, Mercalli, Boris FX, etc. do not support 64-bit. Maybe by Windows 8 they will "wake up"? Who knows. :(

I highly recommend that you install the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro so that you can get your work done.

Pixelan supports 64-bit Vegas.

If you do not see "Sony Vegas 64-bit" as an option when installing the NewBlue plugins, download the current version as it's definitely supported.

"I highly recommend that you install the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro so that you can get your work done." What an idiot I am; I must have read about 1/2 dozen times that some plugins were only 32bit, but I was just assuming that it'd work in something like "XP mode" in the 64bit OS.

That being said, can I install the 32bit Vegas within the 64bit OS alongside the 64bit Vegas?

Yes, install both and you can use whichever one you want.
