Plural eyes 4 not opening anymore and Maxon support is dead

Mindmatter wrote on 11/21/2022, 8:00 AM

HI all

anyone else stuck in that situation?

As it won't show in V20, I tried opening PE4 in V19, where is used to work.
It opens the maxon app to sign in...and then nothing. Seriously annoying, as I'm starting a new multicam project.

I then tried to contact support, and clicked my self through their FAQ maze to finally land at the "create a ticket" option, but clicking that lands you on the exact same FAQ page again and again. No ticket, no contact, nothing.

The app then asks me to update, but at the same time tells me that the update is just for the new subscrition plan.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

PluralEyes works fine in Vegas Pro 19 and 20.

I had an issue installing it on a new system and Maxon support was very responsive. They showed me how to get the legacy app through their new software and after that I was able to enter my serial. Maybe try a different browser.

Thank you RogerS
I switched browsers and now it works. Firefox has been acting up lately.
In V20, I don't see PE at all, the icon is missing. In V19, it just opens the app. I now submitted a ticket an wait and see what they suggest.

OK it's solved. Turns out my licence was assigned to my laptop, which wasn't directly visible and obvious in the app. I think I thought I had 2 licensexs for 2 machines available at the time, apparently I can't do that.
Thanks for the browser tip.

If you copy the PE4VegasLoader14.dll from C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\14.0\Application Extensions to C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions does it show up?

I see now you resolved it. That's good.

As far as I can tell it's working on my laptop and desktop as long as I'm logged in on the app with both. (I think. Desktop isn't on at the moment.)

I just checked, and it was already in there. It doesn't show up though.

That might be a solution. At the moment of my issue, I only had my PC running.

Thanks!
