PluralEyes audio synchronization alternatives other than...

Hello,

I have AudioSyncR and PluralEyes.

PluralEyes stopped me working on Vegas Pro 21 and media files can not prepare. I contacted with their support, but they wrote me that I use incompatible version of Vegas Pro, because PluralEyes worked fine on Vegas up to 19 version.
I used PluralEyes for big wedding projects (because of wedding parties in Poland are very big and wedding ceremony in church is 1 hour long). The whole wedding day in Poland lasts even 12 hours.

When I have small project I used AudioSyncR, but in my opinion AudioSyncR often is not so sucessful and processing lasts very long and finally ends up with unsucessful synchronization :(

Do you know some AudioSyncR and PluralEyes present alternatives which can be sucessfuly used in Vegas Pro 21.

Audio synchronization built in Vegas Pro 21 takes long time compared to PluralEyes and also is not so good as PluralEyes.

Can you advise me?
Maybe someone of you can help me and know how to fix media preperation error in PluralEyes? I can add that media preperation file error shows me even when I add one wav file which for sure is compatible, because last summer I used the same audio file and everything worked fine.

Nothing is wrong with PluralEyes, it still works perfectly in Vegas Pro 21, it's what i still use...... Currently there are no other options for Vegas apart from those two, but i don't use AudioSyncR. PluralEyes is what i always recommend, to me its a lot more versatile and faster etc..... Of course their support is gonna tell you it's not compatible with the latest version of Vegas, pay no attention to that..... However the PluralEyes version that works perfectly for me is "version 4.1.8" and its from the older "Shooter Suite 13" collection of Red Giant.

Hi Marcin, I don't think their advice is right. I just opened 21.300 to double-check and once I sign into PluralEyes with my Maxon account it does talk to VEGAS.

It is possible that the media you are using isn't compatible with PluralEyes (which is an aging program at this point). Can you convert it to something else and try again? "convert to output codec h264" using Shutter Encoder, for example?

The main issue is hang detection keeps popping up here as PE takes a while to process the audio. Just don't hit terminate if you see it : )

I finished the sync and it created drift corrected audio files without issue. The final sync is great.

FWIW I'm using PluralEyes 4.1.12.

There is a new alignment program Audio Align that I downloaded but haven't yet tested. https://github.com/protyposis/AudioAlign It works outside of VEGAS I believe.

I have PluralEyes 4.1.11 (5214) installed on my PC. I will try to install newer version as you have mentioned 4.1.12 and check if it fix the issue.

I have some issue with Maxon App. Firstly I uninstalled PluralEyes I had and uninstalled Red Giant app. Then I install Maxon App, then I type email and password and clicked login. I see such screen:

For a few seconds I see "Login failed comment" which after a few seconds disspears.
When I click Home icon I don`t see anything. I cannot even install PluralEyes anymore. :(

I can add that when I type my email and my password on https://my.maxon.net/teams/ I am able to login successfuly.

I found Red Giant Application Manager and I saw this:

When I clicked "Uninstall" and clicked "Install" I see this error:

I am not able to install PluralEyes application anymore :(

Maybe update their app? I see a new version is out.

I would contact their support about app issues as without the app you can never use PluralEyes.

The RedGiant app is dead and won't work anymore. You need Maxon's help to use the Maxon app. They helped me get it working a year ago.

@RogerS A while ago, I uninstall Maxon App again and install "Maxon_App_2024.3.0_Win.exe" file. Before Maxon app installation I froze Avast antivirus for 1 hour. I see the same screens as from my post from: "4/12/2024, 3:12 PM". Nothing has changed.

I nearly solved the issue myself.

I managed to install Maxon App and get the right look of the application.

Maxon support thought that the problem was with antivirus or firewall.

On my PC the problem was with one Maxon service.

When I launch Maxon App installation from this file: "Maxon_App_2024.3.0_Win.exe", one extra window showed up. This window was called (as I remember correctly): Maxon App error window.
I saw a lot of logs but one of these logs was not going correctly:

I mean this log:

C:\Users\marci\AppData\Local\Temp>CALL "C:\Windows\system32\sc.exe" start "mxredirect"
[SC] StartService FAILED with error 193.

Any other runs from this logs were finished successfuly apart from this above.

I found such file: c:\Program Files\Maxon\Tools\uninstall-maxon-service.bat and I run it. I was able to uinstall this mxredirect service sucessfuly.

Then I run the installation of "Maxon_App_2024.3.0_Win.exe" again and there were no window "Maxon app error" so it was a sign for me that installation of Maxon App was fully done correctly.

I was able to log in to Maxon app and installed PluralEyes.
I noticed that PluralEyes file was installed up to: c:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\19.0\Application Extensions\PE4VegasLoader14.dll

So I copy this PE4VegasLoader14.dll from the above path into c:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\21.0\Application Extensions, but now I have another problem.

WHEN I TRY TO LAUNCH PLURAL EYES STANDALONE APPLICATION IT DOESN'T LAUNCH. IT LAUNCHES ME MAXON APP APPLICATION EVERY TIME I TRY TO RUN PLURAL EYES STANDALONE APPLICATION. THE SAME ISSUE IS FROM VEGAS PRO. I AM NOT ABLE TO GO INTO PLURAL EYES, I STILL SEE MAXON APP:

Maybe someone of you can help me solving this issue. I don't know if this is license issue.

Try just putting the PE4VegasLoader14.dll into this folder: C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions

@RogerS Thank you for your reply. Unfrotunately it didn`t help. In the folder originally I had and have:

c:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions\PE4Vegas14.dll

This file has modify data property set to 2021-10-22 15:47:31

When I copy PE4VegasLoader14.dll into this folder nothing has changed. MaxonApp still launches when I try to open PluralEyes standalone application.

I think that it is a problem with licensing.

I went to "c:\ProgramData\Maxon\Logs\maxon-service.log" I saw such line:

I`ve replaced my user from log into MY_INDIVIDUAL_WINDOWS_OS_USER string.

This MY_INDIVIDUAL_WINDOWS_OS_USER is user subsribed to Windows 10, but license for PluralEyes is subscribed to my email.

Do you know how can I change it?

Maybe I should change this user here (Red Giant service properties), but I am not sure:

@RogerS Can you check if you have email address in user box in Red Giant service in logging tab? I see "Usługa lokalna" which means: "Local service".
