PluralEyes audio synchronization alternatives other than...

Hello,

I have AudioSyncR and PluralEyes.

PluralEyes stopped me working on Vegas Pro 21 and media files can not prepare. I contacted with their support, but they wrote me that I use incompatible version of Vegas Pro, because PluralEyes worked fine on Vegas up to 19 version.
I used PluralEyes for big wedding projects (because of wedding parties in Poland are very big and wedding ceremony in church is 1 hour long). The whole wedding day in Poland lasts even 12 hours.

When I have small project I used AudioSyncR, but in my opinion AudioSyncR often is not so sucessful and processing lasts very long and finally ends up with unsucessful synchronization :(

Do you know some AudioSyncR and PluralEyes present alternatives which can be sucessfuly used in Vegas Pro 21.

Audio synchronization built in Vegas Pro 21 takes long time compared to PluralEyes and also is not so good as PluralEyes.

Can you advise me?
Maybe someone of you can help me and know how to fix media preperation error in PluralEyes? I can add that media preperation file error shows me even when I add one wav file which for sure is compatible, because last summer I used the same audio file and everything worked fine.

I remember that Maxon support employee wrote to me that if licensing is not ok PluralEyes doesn't launch.

Have you noticed that PluralEyes application is already available in 2023.0.0 version? Do you have some information about this version? I installed 4.1.12 version to have the same as you, but I still am not able to launch it.

I do not have a license for the subscription package that contains 2023.0.0 so I can't update to that version. I don't think it is sold anymore.

4.1.12 is the last version I can use.

@RogerS Ok. As I can see you have sucessful logging. So now I am sure for 99% that it is licensing issue. I wrote to Maxon support to solve this licensing issue.

OT ... My wife and I are so looking forward to visiting Japan for the first time this time next year on a 2 weeks Tokyo-Tokyo small cruise ship tour around Japan. A four days pre-cruise tour should include a 2 hours rail trip on the super fast Shinkansen - I love trains. Even better re jet lag, there's only 1 hours difference right now between Melbourne and Tokyo - so no jet lag like when flying to/from Europe.

@RogerS I still have this issue in Vegas Pro 21 and desktop application. Yesterday we finally let the authorization be processed sucessfuly, so now I don`t have licensing issue. I had to use: SerialFiller.exe software, which Maxon employee sent me on email (I mean link to this software). There I typed my serial number and licensing issue has gone away. Plural Eyes software launches, but unfortunately when I add media I got "media preperation completed with errors". No matter if I run Plural Eyes from/as the desktop application or from Vegas Pro. I also installed Vegas Pro 18 and I have the issue on this version of Vegas.

For instance, when I try to add mp3 (3 minutes and 33 seconds duration) file into Plural Eyes desktop application I see such screen as below:

As you can see the file duration is nearly 0 minutes 0 seconds. I noticed that no tmp files create on Plural Eyes folder. Adding full control privilages to this Plural Eyes temp folder doesn't help.

I noticed that I have such log:

on c:\ProgramData\Maxon\Logs\maxon-service.log log file.

I don`t know why this mp3 files is treated as zombie resource. Disabling and changing Avast antivirus into passive mode also didn`t help.

I do have no idea what is going on. I have installed 4.1.12 version of Plural Eyes so it is the same version which Maxon recommends to me.

Can you share with me your logs from path: c:\ProgramData\Maxon\Logs\maxon-service.log.
I suppose that your logs will be a little bit different than mine, because you can process media file and prepare file successfuly. Here are the logs from desktop run:

I tried many times to open this file in plural eyes. Maybe some instances weren't closed and held lock to this file. I will try to open this file again on fresh reboot.

@RogerS I`ve noticed that when I launch single run of Plural Eyes desktop software, it launches 3 plural eyes processes. I don`t know if it is ok. Can you check it if on your PC is the same behaviour?

...and I still see Realease zombie resource task started log even when I don`t play this mp3 file any other programs.
