Pocket 3 audio is garbled and in slow motion in vegas build 300

SyedDanish-Ali wrote on 4/23/2024, 4:18 AM

Every since i updated vegas 21 pro to build 300 my pocket 3 videos once placed on the timeline have garbled audio as if in slow motion, the video itself is fine. Anyone got a solution? I updated the nvidia driver to the latest but no help. THinking of somehow rolling back to old vegas pro 21 if anyone can guide how to do it.

If the audio track is mono, this is a known problem and is discussed in this thread https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-build-300-audio-problem--145215/ which includes a workaround as well as a link to earlier Vegas Pro builds.

Thanks guys. this was very helpful, someone on the thread suggested i enable legacy avc decoding in preferences/flie-io and it worked. But now im worried with this new feature enabled will i run into any issues during rendering or editing a multi camera (Different cameras) edit. Any suggestions to just go to old build or leave legacy avc decoding enabled and it will be fine?

That was probably me who suggested it.

Legacy AVC is the same media decoder as what build 208 used, so it's fine as a workaround. You just miss out on some performance and stability improvements the new decoder brings to 300.
Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a bugfix patch before long so you can use the new decoder with mono audio.

If you run into any other problems with 300, or you use media like MXF, I'd go back to 208 now.
