Popping noise in VMS pro 7

Hi, Im having a strange popping noise occur in the audio while editing in VMS. It doesn't occur while playing in Windows Media Player or any other player I have, but only VMS before and after I render and save. Anybody have any idea what this is and how to fix it?

There is no such version as "VMS pro 7"
But since you are posting in the Vegas Movie Studio forum, I'm guessing that's what you have.

You are probably having sound card buffer issues. In order to find out, you would need to provide a little basic information.

Sound Card
Drivers and version
OS
CPU
RAM

That kind of thing.

Here's the specs you asked for:

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 24-bit 5.1
Driver Version: 5.12.1.514
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Amd Athlon 64x2 core processor 4200+
2.5 RAM

It's been a long time, but if I remember setting your audio buffers to 32 may help.

Does your sound card have ASIO drivers. If so, you should see the option in Preferences->Audio or whatever it's called in VMS.
