popup that says" Movie Studio has stopped working

I am using Movie Studio 13.0 64 bit. When I try to open movie studio I get a Problem report popup that says" Movie Studio has stopped working." I first tried to restart my computer, then I tried to shut down my computer, I tried to download an update that the delivery report said I needed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. still I get get the problem report. Thank you for your help.

If you are familiar with the Windows 10 registry, you can remove keys that refer to previous installation of Vegas Movie Studio. But be careful - make a backup copy of the database beforehand.

I forgot to write this:
Uninstall Vegas Movie Studio before you start searching for and removing data from the registry.
I myself have tried both to install the program on a "clean Windows 10". The program then ran flawlessly.
Now I have also tried my own suggestion on another PC with great success.
