What I would suggest is you create a bubble is Photoshop, or your favorite graphic proggie, place it in a video track, animate the bubble from small to the desired size within a second or however fast you want the bubble opening, you can either place the text using vegas text generator or place it in the ps file. apply "pop" sound effect and voila.

Yes, your suggestion is really the best way to do what I'm trying to do. I'll do the bubbles and text in Photoshop and import and then play with the timing. Should be fun. Thanks.

I have done a vid with pop bubbles for my little girl, its a pretty neat effect. Use PSP or Photoshop and insert into vegas. PSP has some cookie cutter speech bubbles that are ready to use.
