Possible bug with image sequences

I have a project that includes some targa image sequences. Recently I moved the entire project into a different folder (keeping the structure of the project with all its subfolders completely intact). Then I did a 22 hour render.

Now I find that the targa sequences are no longer sequences. Instead they are now pointing to only the first image and ignoring all the other images. So I had to go into the project, replace all of what are now single images with the image sequences, and start the whole render again.

When I moved the project, nothing changed in the internal project folder hiearchy except that the whole thing is now under a different subfolder. Yikes!!! All the other media references were fine, only the image sequences got screwed up.

I've seen this happen before (with 10,000 JPEG images). You have to delete the image sequence from your timeline and re-import it. Should be OK then.

Yep, this happens to me all the time. Most of the stuff that i import are 200 frame PNG but essentially, the same thing happens. As soon as the project folder is re-located, all image sequences have to be re-imported. Big pain in the butt!

I guess the answer is to not move the folder. I generally only move stuff after the job is complete, and it gets moved to a completed projects folder, but from time to time, you have to re render for one reason or another, and this really slows things up.

Sorry i don't have any answers for you, but i guess at least you know that you're not alone.........

I thought this was a pre-6.0d update issue.

Are you using the latest update?

I'm still using 6C and have been VERY hesitant to update.
I updated about a month ago and an intermittent beep was introduced to Vegas during playback that no one could fix or explain (not even Sony Support), so i was forced to Re-format my entire system which set me back a couple of days. I have been reluctant to update again in case the same happens again. I'm kinda hangin out 'til V7 ;)
