Possible to use Sony DV Codec with Graffiti?

Simple Question:

When "Exporting" a project with Graffiti LTD, it lists a lot of the standard DV codecs for output, but the Sony one (highly regarded as the best) isn't available. Is it possible to use the Sony DV codec by registering it somehow? If not, any recommendations as to which of the standard ones would provide the best output?

Thanks,

-Brent

No, the Sony DV codec is only available from within Vegas itself. I certainly prefer the output from the Vegas DV codec and it would be great if it could be used system-wide, since it can't be, I have been quite satisfied with the MainConcept DV codec.

I use the Matrox DV (sometimes DVCPro) codec. It's free from their support site.

For information on DV codecs you might want to read this active thread 'Is there a "good" DV codec?' rather than asking us to repeat all that information here.

Be mindful of the fact that if you want an alpha channel in your Boris output to make it an overlay in Vegas, you want to export uncompressed 32 bit which the DV codec doesn’t support.
