This is pretty darn fun! :D

Typing text was inspired by the text on display screens in the Aliens series of films.
Airplane Banner was a failed attempt to do lettings stalking each other.
Bowl Over just looks sooooooooo cool. Inspired by Wii Bowling. :)
Slide off Ledge was inspired by me playing Quake 2 last night. I fell & died a lot.
Transporter Effect was inspired by Star Trek. Also looks similar to the intro title to "Aliens", but that's just luck. Was going more for Star Trek 2.

Sherman, while there are things where you might not use them, they are particularly great for inducing creativity in those times when you might not be feeling very creative.
