Power CG Plugin Status

cayman wrote on 9/13/2004, 7:30 AM
The official decision has been made to go ahead with the project.

We actually have the plugin working very well wiith "Still" titles and we have
already incorporated many of the optimization schemes that we have used in
other plugins(adobe premiere, Speed Razor, MSpro, etc.) to speed things up.

We are working on the animations such as rolls, crawls, and Text FX animations.
These should not take long once we figure out how to get the iinformation we need
in a DirectShow filter.

Matthew Chaboud at Sony has been very helpful on getting us going. Thanks Matthew!

I'll try to keep you updated as to our progress.

Thanks for the update, Jeff!
Matt Chaboud is a brilliant young guy. Plays a hell of a video game, too.

Thanks to all of the CG development people.

As a current CG user - formerly with DPS and CG and now as a stand-alone, I look forward to a CG/Vegas marriage.

Any idea what the pricing will be?

I wanted to ask that but figured there probably wouldn't be a price set at this point... but if there is.............. :)

Here is their current pricing list. I'm not sure which product they are modifying to work with Vegas.

Cayman Graphics Pricing

Power CG rfs looks like the right balance of features and price for my needs.
beerandchips wrote on 9/13/2004, 4:59 PM
From what I understand rfs and plus will plug-in. The prices are on the website. Too bad no educational pricing though. Oh well.

The Vegas plugin will be for both Power CG rfs and Power CG Plus.
If you purchase now, the upgrade will be free.

Thanks

Jeff,

This is great. I know you have me listed as a CG user for VM/DPR. You meantioned before I can upgrade so I will be interested in how to do that. I will use this new version for Vegas on one machine and my existing CG I have on the VM machine with its dongle. So let me know if I need to do anything special. Great news and thanks a lot

Thanks Jeff!

As a very satisfied customer and promoter of Power CG Plus for years, I'm pleased I'll be able to continue editing with Power CG as a plug-in for Vegas!

And as usual for Cayman Graphics, I know the program will be as top notch as ever!

Regards,

David

Hey Jeff
I am still using my CG plus with VM. You were very kind in sorting out an enthnic font display for me in CG.
Look forward to using it in Vegas as well.

Still plugging away on it, but credit rolls and other similar stuff is working GREAT! Expect to hear some great news soon.
