Do you mean where files are saved to when you do "Make Movie"? If so, you choose where to save it to and VMS will remember that the next time you run Make Movie.

While you can change the Prerender location, I don't think you need to worry about it. From the Help file, here is what a prerender file is all about:

"From the Tools menu, choose Selectively Prerender Video to render temporary preview files for the sections of your project that cannot be rendered in real time. These temporary preview files are used when you play back that section of the project.

Again, just browse to the folder you want in Make Movie and it will continue to use that folder until you change it.

At least I think that is what you're looking for.

by the way.... don't forget to reply back to your OTHER thread.

What I ment to say is.

When I go to File and then Capture Video and start Capturing it works good.

Then I click the stopBotton and close the Cpture Video Window.

So now I am back at the Movie Studio program Window.
But my Video I just Captured is in My Documents Folder how do I get it to stick the Video I just Captured on my Desktop??

Thanks

You could change the capture folder to your desktop before you start capturing. Or you could use the file where it is in My documents. Or you could drag it from My documents to your desktop after capturing. Or you could pick a meaningful folder and store the videos there.

Also, if you have Vegas running while you capture then the captured video should show up in the Project Media tab automatically.

How do I change the Folder ware my Captured Videos are Placed in NMovie Studio 8.0?

In VidCap, Options / Preferences / Disk Management.

You might want to start looking around the menus and options in the software some. You could probably find answers to most of your questions on your own much faster than waiting for answers from us in the forum.

Good suggestion. You can also find information in Help. Help > Contents and Index > Search (tab).

I am trying to change my Captured Videos Folder and I did go into Preferance and Options and I did not see anything there.

How do I get into VidCap like you told me to so I can change it there?

I presume you've captured video at some point already or you wouldn't be asking about where your captured files are going. This means you must already know how to get into VidCap, right? Once you're in there, go to Options / Preferences / Disk management.

Don't presume. :)
