Don't spose you know where they hide the define keys, macros or command shortcuts? (Did find that in a forum search and believe it doesn't exist as yet).

I'm not sure if you need to define separate directories. I found that the prerendered files tended to be quite volatile, even if I was working on just one project at a time. The upshot is that I gave up using them as anything more than temporary checks of playback timing when I have applied a lot of effects etc. I usually clear them out quite frequently and not rely on them.

If you go to the Help menu, there is a section on keyboard shortcuts. For macros and define keys I can't help you, but there is a separate forum on Scripting which might be of interest to you if you are into this.

Yeah - I'd sorta noticed the volatility of the prerenders which is why I thought I was doing something wrong :-) And I've also just been using them as a quick preview and not relying on them to stay there, so I think I'll continue that habit.

I've learnt as many shortcuts as I can (I used to edit CMX and prefer as many keys as I can get) but was sorta hoping to be able to define my own.

Still really like VV though. Got a lot of potential with some more development... love the idea of hardware and resolution independent.
