Prepare Directory cannot be created?

I just upgraded to V4+DVD-A. Trying to prepare/burn a simple DVD movie, and the prepare dialog failed with a "specific path not found" for the prepare folder. Of course the folder is there. I tried browsing to other folders and it still does not work. Does anyone have any idea? This is on a Win2K machine with a single 120G harddisk as "C:".

Thanks.

Do you have user quotas setup on your machine? Does the user have write permissions to the folder you are trying to use?

If you're not already, try logging on with a user that has administrator privileges and give it a try.

Hi,
I don't have user options setup, and I am logged in as an administrator. i.e. my user only belongs to the administrator group, although not the real administrator user id. Since I used "New Folder" in the browse dialog to create a new folder for the files, I kinda verified that I have write acess to that (newly created) directory, just before the file preparation. Also, the default directory is the application data area for W2K which, normally, would be accessible as well? I thought there were some problem with long/short/spaced pathnames, and I tried all that also. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
P.K.
