I have been trying to burn my first bluray and it is taking 20+ hours to prepare. My video renders rather quickly, then prepares, prepares, and prepares for what seems like an eternity. I edited my video in Vegas 13, rendered as Main Concept MPEG-2 BLU-RAY 1920x1080 60i, 25mbps and audio as Dolby digital AC-3 pro stereo. I selected a menu based bluray project in DVDA and built my menus. I had no errors to fix and it said my video and audio did not need to be rendered (which is why my rendering of the menus goes quickly. HOWEVER, once the rendering is finished and the PREPARING stage begins, the time will jump to 9 hours, then after several minutes, it will jump to 15 hours, then to 20 and so on. What could be going on and what exactly happens during the preparation stage of the burn process. Please help!!! I have some upcoming projects that I need to produce on bluray.
Preparing takes way too long for Blu-Ray in DVDA
