Presets revert to default

Not having discovered this in 9.0 - another bug annoys me in 9.0a. I'm always changing my project presets to BEST for full resolution rendering quality. Vegas will not save this setting and will revert to the default GOOD when creating new projects.

another preset problem with Mainconcept mp4 encoder. Audio bit rate defaults to 6000 bps and will always revert to that setting, regardless which new settings i save in my preset. But the rendering sounds OK like 128 kbs when changed to 128 kbs but will not reflect that new setting in the audio bit rate.

"I'm always changing my project presets to BEST for full resolution rendering quality. " - I guessing here, but good to check with you, did you check the "Start all new projects with these settings" check box? And did you then hit "Apply"?

"Vegas will not save this setting and will revert to the default GOOD when creating new projects." - Now this IS interesting. Is it at all possible that the format you are wanting to render to is the one that is being picked up by the OTHER check box in Project Properties, the "Adjust source media to better match project r render settings" - I am wondering if this has any bearing on the issue?
