Do i really have to read this message every time i jump to fullscreen mode for watching my 3D timeline? Very disturbing. Any hidden switch for disable this?
I'm very annoyed overall with the number of programmers (software, AND television) who feel it's OK to put things on top of the images we want to watch. When did that become OK?
Amen. Especially now that popup adds have virtually taken over Youtube videos. Just when you get one closed, there's a dozen more that keep popping up.
My preview monitor is 4:3 so it's in the black bar part of the screen.
But... it dissapears in (I timed it) under 2 seconds after I go full screen. I barely noticed the thing. It's also ~15 or so pixels tall. Maybe you're seeing something different with 3d?
I use only one monitor, my LG 2342.
With Crtl+Tab i can go to fullscreen for checking 3D,
play a short part, and with ESC can go back to editing.
This message is in center of the screen, and yes, it's only
visible for 3 sec, when you want just watch the effect quickly,
many times per hour this can be a problem.
Especially when there is some popout at the center of the screen...
Possibly, but after we've seen it 18,219 times, we get the point and will probably remember it.
I had a SONY SLV-9000somethingorother VCR back in the day that, when i did any transport function such as play, pause, fast forward, not only would it show that on the display on front of the VCR, but would also display the symbol for it covering half the TV screen for about 5 seconds. Then it would show it in a corner of the TV for another 8 seconds or so.
It was a fantastic VCR loaded with tons of good features and very good quality, but that display quirk was enough to make me refuse to ever get another SLV model. Y'know, i already knew which button i pressed. The display on the VCR was enough feed back just in case i wasn't sure. The display on the TV was unnecessary and annoying.
I remember when consumer VCR's had options to turn the OSD on/off. :)
Of course that was back when most consumer stuff had screens to show you what's going on. My current BD player has no LCD display, you have to have a popup. Or buttons except eject/power/play/stop. I'd rather have a nice on machine screen & a full set of buttons then Netflix/pandora/whatever.
no solution about this "function"? :(
Maybe edit the text to white spaces or use a transparent font..
edit: ok, i found the dll that contain this message (Sony.Monitor3D), and can replace the text with spaces. However the text background still visible for 3 sec :(
With a two screen set up, the message appears only when you're already in Full Screen Preview on one screen and you click on that screen - not really annoying.
