I am working with a PAL project with preference in VV3 set to PAL DV, using Pinnacle Studo DV(IEEE 1394) and Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge to DV to Analog for preview in my PAL TV. All went well, until I tried to take the preview on an extenal monitor ( Set the out put to 'PAL DV' and the status shows 'divice is connacted' ) noting comes out, even the small box in VV says Preview to External monitor, but Hollywood DV-Bridge is not showing DV input and External monitor is blank. I have wasted many days with this, and when I accedently changed the project settings to NTSC DV, my external monitor started to show jurky Video, small box in VV showed ' Video need to Recompress ' frame rate was 12-15 ( quite understandable the need of PAL to NTSC recompression in real time will drop frames)what I found was, Pixel aspect ratio should set to NTSC DV for external preview. why it is not working with PAL DV setings ? please HELP !
(PAL DV clips are captured with pinnacle DV 500 Adobe premiar 6 and OS is WIN XP)
