That's a pretty borderline processor, performance-wise. But you should be able to do some basic editing, depending on the format and resolution of the video you're editing.

I assume you've got your preview quality set to Draft/Auto. That will put less stress on your system.

Are your videoclips' framerate the same as the project's?

if the videoclips you're editing have different framerate than your project (or are variable refresh rate (VFR)), that can lead to some pretty hefty choppiness. you can right-click the video on the timeline -> switches -> disable resample.

EDIT: also, gpu acceleration: (from the file, edit, etc menu at the top): options -> preferences -> video -tab -> gpu acceleration of video processing -> select your graphics card here.

does not work any different by chosing my grapich card, but was a litte difference to the better when i did that timeline switches

i have on draft auto but its still ****. But yeah i know the rams and processor is a little bit old, will be the next upgrade

@brad-fridell You don't mention what you are editing - 1080 or 4K? If the latter are you using proxies?

im only using 1080p 50p
