Having finally figured out yesterday that one needs to select a setting *other* than "preview" to preview video in VMS10, I started editing today. At which point, I'm noticing that the audio and video start out in sync, but slowly the video lags behind the audio (noticeable at about 15 sec). In fact, at the end of clips the audio track actually introduces repeated instances of the audio in quick succession.

Adjusting playback and track buffers have no effect.

I have a new Win7Pro, 64bit Dell with 1 TB HDD, i7 CPU, 8GB ram. and,

I edited a video beautifully on this new machine last week (once I figured out to load in ffdshow); and

clips from the movie I'm working on now show no sync problems in VMS9.

...?? any ideas? (ps thanks to this forum in general, I've come a long way in the vid world in the past 9 months!)
