Preview window size

This is kind of a long shot I think, but is there anyway to have the preview window change sizes other than having it super small on "auto" or way too big on "full" (i.e. preview (full)? I know on FCP you can change the size by dragging the timeline area up or down for example, and the percentage of the size will change...and I'd love to have something like that in Vegas but I can't find anything.

In Vegas 7, right click on the monitor window and make sure "Scale Video to Fit Preview Window" is checked. You can then make it any size and it will fill the whole area.

You got this in Vegas too.

If you have the Preview Window "docked" above the Timeline [TL], Roll your Mouse cursor over the edge of the TL pane, your cursor will change to a double-arrow-headed, LEFT click HOLD/GRAB that edge and move it it UP or DOWN. As you re-size the TL Pane the Preview window will also change by a percentage, in exactly the way I think you are explaining you are after.

Thanks Grazie and Sab,

Just had the same prob. a few days ago on my new Dell laptop. It runs high res. to give a nice picture and the def. window size was too small.

Now I can adjust like I want - great. :)

If you double click the header of the preview window if it's undocked
it changes from full to half.

I've tried that a number of times before, but all it does it cut into the picture and hides that portion of the video instead of making the preview window smaller according to how high I've dragged the timeline up. I guess I should have mentioned I'm using Vegas 6. Is this a feature only in 7?
