Yeah none of them seem to have 13 previous builds. I'm experiencing some strange problems with track level effects and media FX on the latest build. I'd like to go back to see if the problem is solved.
Great help as usual from a forum member. But why delete the previous version? HDD space is so cheap these days, I even have versions of Vegas going back to 6! (which was my first version).
Thanks from me as well. I have been having issues with Vegas not wanting to start, my avi files were turning black again (haven't had that in a long time) and playback showed hesitations and somewhat erratic (jerky) behavior. Going back to 310 shows promise because Vegas started up just the way it used to and quickly loaded all files as well.
Absolutely IMPORTANT - the list of fixes in build 373 was short and not very interesting. For those of you who are experiencing 'new' problems with build 373 over the use of 310 - please report in detail what you have seen. As always it is a possibility that new bugs have been introduced.
Feedback from the user community has been virtually silent on the impact of 373, and it might be because very few are moving from where build 310 was.
In my case the volume of the problems was minor compared to the volume of usage and also the nature of the problem of slow opening of Vegas could be just as well associated with all sorts of other things going on in my computer, so my first reaction isn't, I have to report this. As the fellow who opened this thread also said he needs to find out if there is anything wrong with the latest version by comparing it with the previous one. I am still not going to report anything until I have used Vegas 310 working long enough to know there is a clear improvement.
Paul Fierlinger - your comments are appreciated. You may well be right that build 373 is nothing more than 310 with no added bugs. Recent history at SCS has shown however it is not unlikely that under the hood changes in subsequent builds do add bugs.
One is hard pressed to understand the relative silence this year on VPro13 builds since 310 came out. It could be that bugs are few and far between. That would be good. But it might also be due to lacklustre enthusiasm in the marketplace and in particular a lack of participation in testing subsequent builds. Who knows?

I normally don't post reports in the forum. Since VP13 B310
1. A bug with radial blur effect. Interesting that the bug is with CPU only mode. GPU=ON is good. Ticket #140609-000108. "Solved" known problem.
2. A bug where Vegas displays a green screen for an MP4 file with AVC video and AAC audio. The MP4 was a Youtube encoded MP4. Ticket #140616-000091. "Solved" new problem problem entered into database.
3. I am also afflicted by the Wave Hammer activation problem in VP13. I can work around this by re-installing VP12. Ticket #140628-000043. "Solved" known problem.
4. A bug with the project media tab search on "Media FX". Ticket #140630-000094. No response for a few weeks.
I think the question was, why do you delete the older install files? If you're that hard up for disk space, then you don't have enough disk space to edit.
Best delete the older 'install' folder because there may be old left-over files that are not needed or updated (overwritten) in the new 'install' . The presence of the redundant old file may stuff something up in the new install
Yes, that would imply the installer could be less than perfect, and/or an old registry entry may not have been fully removed. And it probably isn't, but why risk it. They used to stipulate deleting the old install folder when people had issues with update installs.
There is no need to delete anything when installing upgrades of Vegas. What I was referring to is the exe file you download from Sony. Just don't delete them.
Now that they are approaching half a GB per build, I started deleting local copies of older versions. But then I assumed that they were all available to re-download if required. Won't any more....
