Hi lowayko,

Please post your system setup and version of Vegas, plus any other video applications you have on your computer...

Many folks here are happy to help, but need enough information to get started.

Regards, MPH

Yes, more info please.
If you type in "Print to tape problems" in SEARCH(above), you may find some interesting reading.

What version of VV?
What motherboard/chipset?

Things to check/try:
Enabling DMA on HD's, latest chipset/mobo drivers, latest video card drivers, PCI latency to 64 vs. 32 in the BIOS, get 1394 card on it's own IRQ, etc.

This sounds a lot like a problem that I had (have). In my case, my USB connected scanner software is at fault. Disabling the USB ports in control panel before I print to tape prevents the blank spots from appearing every time.

An easier solution would be: TURN OFF THE SCANNER. With some scanners, that may mean unplugging it.

Turning off or unplugging the device doesn't do it for me. I don't know what HP does with thier driver, but I have to disable the USB to print to tape successfully.
