Print to Tape

I have searched this forum and have not found an answer to my problem. I recently changed computers. I had been using a P4 2 GHTZ. I had no problems going out to tape using IEEE 1394. Now that I have an AMD3000+, neither of my DV cams will receive the 1394 signal. I only get a blue screen when printing to tape.

Thanks for any suggestions. Vegas tech is very courteous but of no help on this issue. Is it a software or hardware issue?

Mentor,
I'll take a stab at it...first, does Vegas recognize your camera as a device and/or does your operating system show it as a device (in control panel when turned on and hooked up)? Second, have you tried turning off device control in the options menu of vidcap before you print to tape and then manually hit record on your camera when the show starts? Also, are you getting a visual on your foldout screen on the camera? Sorry if these questions are too basic but just checking some of the obvious stuff. If it worked before, it should work now unless your operating system is not seeing the firewire card or something. Standing by.
