Print to Tape

I have been using Vegas from 2.0 to its present configuration in 4.0. I have found it very intuitive and easy to navigate. I just purchased a new Sony Vaio computer it has the gigapocket feature.
I recently complieted a video project on Vegas and i want to print to tape the avi file i completed. I could not . The print to tape or record to device option went to full screenon my monitor and not to my camcorder. I even tried another camcorder with the same result. I went to tech support at Sony pcitures digital For Vegas and they had no clue. THey suggested i get a new capture card.

What a mess

Please help any suggestions

It sounds like you are trying to PPT from the caputure utility, yes?
Did you hit the Preview on Device button?

What happens when you PTT from the timeline?

litle more information would probably help with answers.

What is the gigapocket feature and what does that have to do with Vegas or PTT? (maybe everyone else here knows what you are referring to but it is new to me).

How exactly are you trying to PTT? Is it via the capture utility or direct off the timeline?

Can you try to use some other utility to PTT (like Scenalyzer). At least then you will see if it is a general problem.
