I realize I have an older product (VV 3.0c) but I'm hoping for some ideas.
DV print to tape using Sony TRV-350 camcorder via 1394 DV link.
XP Pro
Intel based motherboard wt P4 @ 2.6 ghz
2 g ram
2-60 g hds
ATI based radeon x1650 agp video card wt 512 mb
I've had this problem for years and can't seem to solve it.
When I print to tape, I have machine control, and both audio and video feeds that look great. Regardless of the length of the rendered file...or the method used, the video (not audio) will cut out randomly.....like a short qlitch. I can rewind and start all over and the "glitch" will happen in a similar place....but not the same.
(It reminds me of analog dropout)
What this shows up as, is a blue screen on the DV recording device. You can actually see this on just an external monitor during the transfer process as well even if you're not in the machine record mode.
I've done the usual things (defragmented the drive, turned off all other programs...etc)
Perhaps someone has an idea on this. I'd like to narrow it down.
As usual, thanks........
Mike
