I've done a search and can't find this exact issue, so here we go.
If I use the Video Capture, Print to Tape tab, Vegas complains that there is no camera attached (actually, it either throws errors including something to the affect of a "missing message", or simply doesn't make the "cue device" or "print to device" buttons work). However, video capture works fine.
And printing to tape from the Vegas time line works fine, too.
Camera: Sony TRV-17, Adaptec (TI) Firewire card. Vegas 4.0 (Build 114).
I could swear that this used to work at one point, but after a hard disk replacement and re-registration of both Vegas 4.0 and VV3, neither's vidcap PTT works. VV3c's error claims the .AVI is not the correct format to print to tape (yet the .AVI is rendered as standard, compliant DV and indeed from the timeline prints with no rendering).
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Bob.
