Print to tape problem - no device

Have used VV6 a month now and have captured many times
without problems.
Today I was going to print to tape for the first time but VV6 says
theres no device!
I of course went back to VV5 - but same result there.
In capture mode there is a device and capturing works well
in print to tape mode no device is detected.
I´m working in PAL.
I´ve searched the forum but cannot find this problem anywhere.
What can it be?

I found my old VV4 and suddenly it worked.
How come ?
Same connection same device but VV6 and VV5 cannot
do what VV4 can??!!

Okay I´ve got it now!
I have just began to use dual monitors and
when I deselect the external preview my DV cam
is recognaized in print to tape mode again.
Seems rather unlogic to me!
