Print to tape problems

When printing to tape at the very last part of the process a screen comes up and 1 of 2 messages come up: 1; error occurred while creating media file error 0x8007001f (message missing) OR 2. an invalid argument was specified.

I sent an e-mail into Sony last Wednesday and have had no response except that they had received the e-mail. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? I have cheked all preferences and they have not changed. I have recently defragged all drives and amount of space left on the drives, etc.

Is this happening with all your veg projects? Or just one? Can you print from Video Capture or some other program?

I'm trying to diagnose some print problems here myself, and these are some of the first variables to try.

I had what may have been a similar episode some time back.

You need to get real specific here. Are you PTTing from the timeline, or a file? Does this happen at the same frame during repeated attempts with this file? Do other projects print successfully? Has it just cropped up, and what may have changed since the last successful attempt? You see?

In my case, I had corrupt media and the render process would freeze on exactly the same frame each time. I finally zoomed all the way in on the timeline and discovered a blank frame with multiple FXs applied. It simply wouldn't fly. If this forum can't help you, nobody can. More data please. Darryl

It happens from all of my programs that I haad on the system. Don' know about print to tape from the video capture - I'll try it.

2. Yes
3. No other projects print successfully
4. Just appeared
5. Nothing that I can think of changed since the last successful attempt.

Not that I can help much but...
Did you really mean "happens from all of my programs that..."

Meaning that not only Vegas has problem printing to tape, you mean like you cannot PTT from say Premiere?

Or did you mean "all of my projects that....."

I guess one question I can think of that no one's posed, have you installed ANYTHING on the system between when it worked and when it stopped working?

Just tried PTT from capture and it wouldn't do it - an error code came up.
