Using V4b, used Print to Tape to record two rendered AVI files. Both recorded perfectly with seamless transition between the two files. However, the second file was recorded on the tape twice in sequential order. The rendered file and the timeline both play only once. Any ideas?
Anybody? I realize this sounds very strange, but yet it is happening. I rebooted my PC and again printed to tape using the same two rendered files with the video capture utility. Again it recorded the second file twice. I played the rendered file in Quicktime and it plays once.
Are these two files actually created from one render which was split at the 4GB point by Windows 98/Fat 32? If so, VidCap is smart enough to know to print both files when you tell it to print the first one, so it does so. But then it sees that you've also specified the second file, so it prints it ... again.
Yes, the file was split as a result of the 4GB limitation. Your explanation sounds like the answer. When I added the rendered files to the print list in Print to Tape, I assumed I had to add each file individually. Thank you very much!
