PRINT TO TAPE--RENDER OK, STOPS INTERMITTENTLY

I am having an intermittent problem using Print to Tape feature.
I have had several successful print to tape, but occasionally the run will suddenly stop before the entire .avi is ported to camera.

There are not error messages or program freezes, it just stops the file transfer and goes to blue screen on camera.

I always defrag (takes a long time too) before each attempt.

My system:
Windows ME
256 MB RAM
10GB Primary HD/5400 rpm (only have OS running on Primary)
40GB Primary Slave HD/7200 rpm (run Video Factory+ capture off of this one, all video files capture to this HD and have VF temp files on it also)
Video Factory 2.0c (Build 125)
Video Capture 2.5c (Build 98)

On a possibly related question.
?What is purpose of Temp_Files for Video Factory? I put those temp files on Primary slave also and have noticed they tend to build up. Should they be cleared prior to render/print to tape process?

Also, I turn off all background tasks (except explore and systray) and shut down ethernet connection/virus program and firewall software to keep CPU dedicated to render /print process.
Anything else I can do??

Other than this problem I really like the program and want it to work all the way.
Thank you for the assistance,

Check your video screen saver settings and make sure you don't have the Hard disks turning off after a certain amount of time, the intermittent may be becuase you move the mouse sometimes and not others. Other than that, yes defenitely clean out the temp files when you are finished with them.
Also, the capture device itself may have a sleep feature on it where it turns itself off after inactivity, you might want to time the occurances and see if that is it.
Perhaps even the capture device is running out of room?

Hope this helps,
