Printing to DV Tape

This is probably a ver basic question.
When I click on 'Print to DV Tape' or 'Preview on external monitor' the 'Select Video Devices' preference box appears. I put in my preferences from the drop down lists (eg; Pal DV). It is here I get stuck. Whatever I seem to do from this point it defaults back to settings of 'None'. There doesn't seem to be an 'OK' tab to lock in my required settings. I have defaulted the settings via the 'Properties' tab before beginning but without luck.
I am new to Vegas so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hiyah Tim,

Well . . .

1 - "There doesn't seem to be an 'OK' tab to lock in my required settings." - There is on mine - Are you sure you're in Preferences>Video Device? I have got this up on my screen now - and I can see the "OK" button - yeah?

2 - "I have defaulted the settings via the 'Properties' tab before beginning but without luck." - And yes it would Default back to what the "factory" SoFo settings were - yeah?

My settings are "OHCI Comliant IEEE 1394 /DV" - Can you see this in the drop down list? - Sometimes, maybe sometimes, people have their screen resolution so small ie BIG that they can't get the info on the screen - yeah? This screen we're querying can be dragged around the viewing area. Grab hold of the Windows Dark Blue of the menu and see if the "OK" button was somehow "lurking" below that which you can't presently see - see my point? But yes, there is an "OK" button - once set it has stayed with my new projects - just openned up a new one to check for you.

Best regards
